Things That Make Me Happy

My cell phone charger decided to stop working yesterday (ps-- that makes me unhappy), so Maren and I walked to the Sprint Store to get a new one this morning after dropping Henry off at school. On the way back we stopped off at the park to swing for a little while. Another woman came over and put her one-year-old in the swing next to Maren. She looked at her kid and then looked at Maren and asked, "How come your baby is so much pinker than mine?" That makes me happy. Yay for pink half-hearted babies!!!

A few days ago when it was raining like crazy outside Henry and I watched a police man stop his cruiser in the middle of the road, jump out and hand an umbrella to a soggy mom pushing a stroller. He ran back to his car, jumped in and drove off. Henry yelled out, "Did you see that! That was nice!" It sure was!

Henry just got a new game for the Wii-- Star Wars Lego. Yesterday I put Maren on the bed with Henry as he was playing. I handed Maren her own controller after Henry started freaking out because Maren was trying to grab his. Maren pushed a couple of buttons and before she knew it she was in the game. My back turned, I could hear Henry whining that Maren was messing things up, an then there was silence. Henry says, "Oh, good job, Maren!" I don't know what she did in the game, but Henry was impressed.

My favorite was the police officer. that was reall nice. One thing that makes me happy is when my 1-month old sleeps through the night!

Ha, ha, ha! We have to give Ash a controller that is not plugged in--we just hide the plug behind the game unit (we have old-school N64 w/actual WIRES connecting the controllers to the gamebox)... :) I just love hearing stories like the cop. Especially since it always seem my encounters with them are not pleasant. Yes, I'm talking about my 15 DUIs... :)

I love the fact that Maren is already being educated in the ways for the force.
