I love Lowe's! They guarantee their plants for a whole year. So, if you're like me and suck at keeping things alive (except for fat Guinea pigs-- Okay, tangent: Fudge will not die. I can't tell you how many times I have gone down into the basement to find his water bottle bone dry and only his little turds in his food bowl. Apparently, Randy says, the secret to Guinea pig longevity is severe neglect. Who knew?)
... But as I was saying, Lowe's has a one year guarantee on plants. If it dies w/in a year, no worries! Just take that dead whatever back in to Lowe's with your receipt and they slap a brand new live one in your hand. Yay!
So that's what we did today. After Emmy's nap we spent the better part of the afternoon in the front yard planting flowers. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun! Here are a few pics:
And, we're done! |
That would be a dead Gerber Daisy to the left of the pumpkin. FYI-- Neglect doesn't work with these guys. I lost the receipt, dang it, so I'm trying to save it. |

Beautfiul pictures! There's nothing sweeter than Maren's smile. And Emmy...what a cutie!
Beautiful girls. Good to know about lowes. We totally killed our tomato plants.
